Twitter Says No To Political Ads

There has been a lot of attention recently surrounding social media platforms and their policies regarding political advertising.  As we previously reported, Facebook said that it would not fact-check advertising from political candidates.

On Wednesday, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey announced that Twitter would stop accepting political advertising.  He said, "We've made the decision to stop all political advertising on Twitter globally. We believe political message reach should be earned, not bought."

Twitter's new policy goes into effect on November 22nd.
