It seems like everyone is eager for 2020 to be over already. But, NAD challengers may have a reason to hang onto the year-that-never-ends just a liiiiittle bit longer: they will face increased fees to initiate a challenge at NAD beginning next year. 

Today, NAD announced that it will be updating its filing fees in order "to continue providing the highest level of service delivering rigorous, timely decisions." The new filing fees will take effect on January 11, 2021. The fees, based on the challenger's annual revenue, are as follows:

NAD Standard Track:

  • Under $250 Million: $10,000 
  • Under $250 Million (National Partner): $8,000
  • Under $5 Billion: $35,000 
  • Under $5 Billion (National Partner): $28,000
  • Over $5 Billion: $45,000 
  • Over $5 Billion (National Partner): $36,000

NAD Fast Track SWIFT:

  • Under $250 Million: $15,000 
  • Under $250 Million (National Partner): $12,000
  • Under $5 Billion: $40,000 
  • Under $5 Billion (National Partner): $32,000
  • Over $5 Billion: $50,000 
  • Over $5 Billion (National Partner): $40,000

NAD Complex Track:

  • Under $250 Million: $30,000 
  • Under $250 Million (National Partner): $24,000
  • Under $5 Billion: $50,000
  • Under $5 Billion (National Partner): $40,000
  • Over $5 Billion: $75,000
  • Over $5 Billion (National Partner): $60,000
