Cardozo Law's Fashion Law Society and Fashion, Arts, Media & Entertainment Law Center are co-sponsoring an online panel, "It's Not Easy Being Green:  A Discussion About FTC Policies and Compliance."  The panel will be held on October 4, 2021, at 6:30 p.m.

The program, which provides CLE credit, will focus on issues related to compliance with the FTC's rules and guides, including the FTC's Guides for the Use of Environmental Marketing Claims, the FTC's Jewelry Guides, and the FTC's Enforcement Policy Statement on U.S. Origin Claims.  According to the event organizers, the panel will discuss "how companies can comply with these guides and policies, the difficulties of compliance and implications of noncompliance, and the proposed changes to these guides and policies." 

The speakers on the panel will be:

  • Hal Hodes, Senior Attorney, National Advertising Division
  • Hilary Jochmans, President, Jochmans Consulting and Founder, PoliticallyInFashion

The panel will be moderated by Olivera Medenica, a Partner at Dunnington Bartholow & Miller.
