PLI to Hold Webinar on Advertising Self-Regulation

On October 31st, the Practicing Law Institute, in cooperation with the Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance and the International Council for Advertising Self-Regulation, will be holding a webinar, "Advertising Self-Regulation in the United States and Around the World."  The webinar will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. ET.

The webinar will discuss the various types of advertising self-regulatory systems around the world and how they are different, the codes that they enforce, and key issues and cases that are currently being faced.  Some of the specific topics to be addressed include the use of influencers globally, differing standards on substantiation and disclosures, navigating cultural norms of different jurisdictions, and new rules on gender stereotyping and other recent initiatives.

The program will be moderated by Jeffrey A. Greenbaum (Chairman, Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance and Managing Partner, Frankfurt Kurnit) and will include Laura Frunzeti (Executive Director, Romanian Advertising Council), Guy Parker (Chief Executive, UK Advertising Standards Authority), Lee Peeler (President & CEO, Advertising Self-Regulatory Council and President, ICAS), and Jani Yates (President & CEO, Ad Standards Canada).
