Enforcement of DAA's Enhanced Notice Provisions for Video Ads to Begin on April 1st

The Online Interest-Based Advertising Accountability Program recently announced that it will begin enforcement of the enhanced notice requirements of the Digital Advertising Alliance Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Interest-Based Advertising for video ads in mobile and desktop environments.  Enforcement will begin on April 1, 2018.

The core of today’s compliance warning is simple: advertisers must deliver just-in time notice to consumers when serving interest-based video ads online and on mobile devices, and follow the other requirements set out under the well-known Digital Advertising Alliance’s (DAA) self-regulatory principles for interest-based advertising (IBA).
