TechCrunch recently reported that Instagram may be preparing to let users add music to their Instagram Stories.  According to TechCrunch, these “music stickers” may be able to allow users to search for, and add songs to, their posts, or to simply have the platform automatically detect a song being played and then display the artist and song title as a visual label in a Story.

This news comes on the heels of the announcement by Facebook that they've negotiated deals with many of the major labels to make music catalogs available for use in users' videos and messages on Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, and Oculus.

We'll keep you posted on if/how this new technology rolls out, as well as the legal implications for advertisers looking to use any such features.
